Andy Warhol 1948 - 1960 is a rare opportunity to view early works from the celebrated American pop artist, made before his graduation from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. The works on display date from Warhol's introspective, pre-commercial era, with subjects ranging from still lifes and portraits to documentations of trips. The exhibition, curated by Steven Bluttal, features more than 200 artworks created with several different techniques, including not only Warhol's trademark blotted-ink paintings, but also gold leaf, spray paint, collage, ballpoint pen, aniline and tempera.
