The Homecoming, a '60s classic by Harold Pinter, tells the story of an ex-pat and his wife who return to working-class north London from a life of dry academia in the USA. Pinter's exaggerated language and rhythmic writing trips the play along with suppressed aggression, and although the London-born Nobel Laureate's writing is full of menacing energy, sexuality, violence and sharp banter, it is also very, very funny. Directed by Michael Attenborough, this production features Danny Dyer and Neil Dudgeon.
