Photomonth is the UK's largest celebration of photography, so extensive that it in fact lasts two months. The hundred or so exhibitions across east London include Photofair at Spitalfields Traders Market, which features different photographers showing their work each day, and Polaroid Retrospective's elegy to the analogue instant pic at AOP Gallery. Hackney resident and renowned snapper Tom Hunter lectures on urban imagery at Whitechapel Gallery, while Harriet Poole's What Not to Wear at the Shed-and-a-half Gallery is photographic fashion exchange and cathartic self-disclosure rolled into one.
