Raindance Film Festival

Promoted by a half-naked woman and a zombie in love, this year's Raindance Film Festival kicks off with Clark Gregg's film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's novel Choke, starring Anjelica Huston and Sam Rockwell. Among the 75 features are Matthew Thompson's Dummy, David Howard's Flick (with Faye Dunaway) and Peter Greenaway's Nightwatching, starring Martin Freeman as Rembrandt. Gunnin' for That #1 Spot is Beastie Boy Adam Yauch's free-throwin' New York documentary, and closing the festival is the world premiere of Hush by Mark Tonderai. Complementing the independent-film showcase are 100 shorts, live events, Q&As, master classes and celebrity appearances.
