Transports Exceptionnels is an extraordinary show for one man and a 13-tonne digger at five outdoor spots in east and west London. Choreographer Dominique Boivin of France's Beau Geste dance company created the union of man and machine for fellow dancer Philippe Priasso as part of this year's Dance Umbrella. As the unconventional duo performs to the music of Maria Callas, Priasso is lifted sky-high by his mechanical dancing partner in moments of unexpectedly touching intimacy and human fragility.
