Guilty Pleasures is Kate Brinkworth and Kim Sung Jin’s first exhibition at Alon Zakaim Fine Art on Cork Street. The hyperrealist oil-on-canvas paintings show two contrasting takes on temptation. Seoul-based Kim’s Secret magnifies kissing scarlet-painted lips so that every pore and crease is visible to an unromantic degree. Meanwhile, Nottingham Trent graduate Brinkworth focuses on childhood longing, with the vivid colours and cinematic detail of Candy recalling more innocent times.
