The Kounter Kulture art fair is curated by Newcastle-based art magnates Opus Art and pitched as the maverick rival to Frieze. The focus is on up-and-coming artists and making their works more accessible to the amateur collector. Pop-culture satirist Stuart Semple shows strikingly monochrome outlines of diamonds while Ju$t Another Rich Kid founder Ken Courtney skewers the gilded trappings of celebrity. The fair also features nascent Chinese art, urban graffiti and the work of recent graduates.
