A concurrent exhibition of Moon's work at the Royal College of Art (17-25 Oct) includes more than 150 black-and-white photographs and large-scale colour works plus two new film installations.
Impressionist snapper Sarah Moon combines previously unseen fashion plates with the fairytale images that took her to the top of commercial photography. (Former model Moon moved over from the other side of the camera in the '70s to become the first woman to shoot a Pirelli calendar). 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 includes vividly pigmented shots of models clad in Issey Miyake and Comme des Garcons and shows how Moon has connected the dots between high fashion and fine art for more three decades using a trademark blend of diffused lighting, soft focus and grainy film.
