The eye-catching, amusing and sometimes wry art displayed on the Tube is the subject of a major retrospective at the London Transport Museum. The exhibition charts the history and evolution of the posters that have provided more than a century of relief to disgruntled commuters forced to share body heat with strangers. Among the 60 or so original works on show are those that were banned or never published while a series of films, interactive displays and talks elucidate the commissioning process for designers.
