Leon Michener brings his versatile improvisations for solo piano to Kings Place, the new King’s Cross concert space. The ivory stroker, appearing as part of the experimental This Is Tuesday series, interprets classical music by Charles Ives and Alexander Scriabin. Michener's complex spins on pieces by Les Baxter, jazz pianist Art Tatum, Scott Bradley and even far-out Detroit techno producers Drexciya should satisfy even hardened exotica lovers. Avant-garde films by Hans Richter and Vincent Eggeling provide more sensory excess.
