This is the last day to catch photographer Erika Tambke's new series of vivid portraits, Joy'n the Carnival, in the 5th View Bar of Waterstone's Piccadilly. Snapped at this year's Rio Carnival, the works explore many aspects of the exhilarating four-day affair: flamboyant parades, never-ending street parties, sartorial frippery and the multitude of extravagant galas. Brazilian beverages and snacks add authentic flavour to the gallery experience. Notting Hill's own Carnival celebration seems decidedly low-key when compared to this grand old dame of the spectacle circuit.
