The annual Battle of Ideas festival brings together cultural and political movers for a weekend of searing-hot debate and razor-sharp opinion. The adversarial discussion format pits thinkers from across the political spectrum in a war of words. In Battle for America, author Lionel Shriver and others explore what the US election campaigns reveal about America just two days before the ballot boxes are filled. Also under the spotlight are TV drama CSI, bio-medicine and booze, as the arguments spill out to satellite events across the country.
