- Los Desterrados, Photo: G. Lyons
Los Desterrados (The Exiles) are a London-based six-piece playing in the Sephardic music tradition that originated in medieval Spain's Jewish communities and was the ancestor of flamenco. The intense, passionate folk style has been dragged into the modern era by acts such as Mor Kabasi, Yasmin Levy and Los Des themselves. (Their 2006 album Tu was a scintillating success on the global music scene.) The band take to the stage tonight to play Balkan- and Gypsy-infused tracks from just-released third album Miradores.
