Stand-up comedian David O'Doherty won the if.comedy (formerly known as the Perrier) award at this year's Edinburgh Fringe. His quirky, endearing and childlike ramblings pipped Russell Kane, US duo Kristen Schaal and Kurt Braunohler and even bookies' favourite Rhod Gilbert to the prestigious prize. The charming and utterly hilarious Dubliner intersperses observations on awkward situations with musical interpretations of modern-day dilemmas — such as stand-out song "Sent a Text to the Person the Text was About".
