The Smoking Cabinet, a long weekend devoted to big-screen burlesque from the late-19th and early-20th centuries, kicks off with EA Dupont's Piccadilly (1929). The silent flick offers a ray of light to scullery maids everywhere and stars Anna May Wong as a servant-turned-superstar. It wraps up a launch evening that also includes live music and cabaret in the bar. Other routes into this seductive world of fishnets and feather boas include topical discussion "Boom or Bust" and Buster Keaton's Coney Island (1917). The curtains fall on Sunday with La Boite a Malice (1903), Bob's Electric Theatre (1906) and cakes for all.
