The Effing and Blinding Cabaret is a show by five blind performers from Extant, Britain's only theatre company of visually impaired people. The comedy, which takes place in total darkness, leaves political correctness in the cloakroom for sketches such as "How did Charlton Heston actually die?". Much of the challenging material is of the classic outsider variety, stemming from the performers' own experiences of the world, and includes some audience participation routines that use sound effects and touch to hysterical effect.
