Drury Lane's Guanabara club brings the thrill of Brazilian carnival to London, and the celebrations get more extravagant every year. For 2008, six nights of partying accompany the events down in Rio, offering up everything short of a local street parade. London's School of Samba kick off proceedings tonight with some serious batacuda beats accompanied by the traditional glittering dancers. Other highlights include a masked ball, a Forró night, a performance by Brazil's all-female band Samba de Rainha and a fancy-dress party.
