Notorious artist Cornelia Parker likes to experiment with media. Previous materials have included dust from the Whispering Gallery at St Paul's Cathedral, Churchill's cigar, feathers plucked from Freud's pillow and, most bizarrely, actress Tilda Swinton, who lay "asleep" in a glass casket in the Serpentine Gallery for 1995's The Maybe. Parker now turns her attention to Noam Chomsky for her 40-minute documentary Chomskian Abstract. The film features an interview with the American linguist, writer and philosopher, extracting his views on, and solutions for, global warming and the future of the planet. A transcript of the conversation that is written alternately in snake venom and antidote accompanies the video work.
