ICA says…

Photographer Annie Leibovitz's best-known images — a nude John Lennon clutching at Yoko Ono, a radiantly pregnant Demi Moore — have become visual icons in and of themselves. Annie Leibovitz: Life Through a Lens, directed by no less an authority than her sister Barbara, examines the person behind those portraits. It's all here: growing up as a military brat, the journey between Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, touring with the Stones, rehab, shooting Arnold Schwarzenegger, her longtime association with dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov and her relationship with writer Susan Sontag. Composed with a keen, familiar eye, this biopic offers a candid glimpse into Leibovitz's world.
