After a few ales, recalling a night out can sometimes be tricky. Lucky, then, that we have the visual evidence of former BBC scenic-artist-turned-painter Annie Ralli. This collection of heavily stylised canvas works spotlights London after dark; with titles such as Red Rush, Soho Signs and Girl Talk, Trafalgar Square, the paintings depict tourist hotspots, gaggles of tipsy gals and even the solitary sod texting his cohorts (or, for all we know, his mother). The images neatly capture the pulsating energy — heavy with expectation — of what goes on when the sun goes down.
