Music: Rock/Pop Not the Same Old Blues Crap presents the Mekons

Genre-defying post-punks the Mekons have been playing with the same line-up for 15 or so years — almost half their career. They hit the 100 Club tonight to honour the release of their latest album, Natural, which brings the tally up to an astounding 25 recordings in three decades. The English group, who formed back in the '70s at the University of Leeds, continue to marry cow-punk sensibilities with poetic aesthetics, while infusing the whole shebang with a decidedly ritualistic Stonehenge slant — resulting in druid-inspired entertainment for all.
