Pablo San-José and Cynthia Viera (aka PSJM) are outspoken critics of global capitalism. The dissident duo — who were previously forced to withdraw their exhibition due to considerable interest from corporate lawyers — now bring their glossy, acrylic installation to Riflemaker Gallery's wood and plaster interior. The Madrid-based artists examine the identity-defining power of international trademarks through an ironic reappropriation of four global brands; their lightbox installations unveil the exploitative tactics used by corporations in developing countries. This project encourages viewers to reconsider the implications of multinational business, as well as the influences that shape our own daily choices.
