Music: Rock/Pop [SOLD OUT] Islands

Montreal's Islands had already collaborated with Beck, Wolf Parade and Arcade Fire when they released their debut LP, Return to the Sea, back in 2006. Touring the UK ahead of new album The Arm's Way (released by Rough Trade in April), the band conclude their visit to our island with an intimate back-room gig in Hoxton. New material such as "The Arm" — a jaunty, Technicolor indie-pop number full of Bowie-esque snippets and jangling strings — illustrates how much their sound has evolved over the last two years.
