The latest Fabulous Beast production, James, Son of James, centers around a prodigal son who returns to rural Britain to mourn the death of his eponymous father. James' return and subsequent miraculous deeds initially raise him to messianic status in the local community, but certain citizens eventually vilify the newcomer. The conceptual choreography and revolutionary set design — which almost posits the giant balsa house frame as an extra character in the piece — pulsate with chaotic frenzy.
