Art: Photography Deutsche Börse Photography Prize

The quality of the annual Deutsche Börse photography competition just gets better every year. Though this year's winner won't be announced until March, the Photographers' Gallery features the shortlisted artists in this exhibition. Brit John Davies' striking black-and-white landscapes record the changing faces of rural and urban Britain, while Danish snapper Jacob Holdt focuses his lens on the US for a shocking narrative on racism. Finland's Esko Männikö, on the other hand, specialises in still lifes and landscapes, while American-born Fazal Sheikh concentrates on contemporary India and the injustices experienced by Asian women.
