Performing Arts: Theatre Dodgy Clutch and the Market Theatre present Elephant

The Dodgy Clutch theatre company joins Johannesburg's Market Theatre for Elephant, a groundbreaking show that mixes dance, music, puppetry and drama. Drawing on African folklore, the production follows Chief Zanenvula who, having been denied entry into heaven, looks back over his life to find out how he "offended the spirit of Africa". The cast includes performers from the UK and South Africa, along with six life-size, shockingly realistic elephant puppets.
