Art For Blue

Derek Jarman's final experimental film, Blue (1993), was a single shot of saturated blue. Musician Simon Fisher Turner (who collaborated with Jarman to create the original score) and poet-musician Black Sifichi now respond to the film with For Blue, a gallery installation in which Sifichi's narration accompanies visitors' walks through the soundscape. For Blue coincides with the Serpentine's current retrospective of Jarman's groundbreaking work, which is curated by British filmmaker Isaac Julien.
