Art: Photography Live Art on Camera

Live Art on Camera presents a series of photographs of performance art from the 1950s to the present day. The exhibition peers into key moments in the art form's history, while addressing the paradox of documenting something that is by its nature transitory and in-the-moment. Filmmaker Babette Mangolte explores the relationship between the photographer and the subject in The Camera: Je, while other highlights include Japanese photographer Ohtsuji Kiyoji's images of the 1950s Gutai group and Peter Moore's impressive collection of US-based performance art — including "happenings" by Allan Kaprow and the late Wolf Vostell.
