Performing Arts Duncan Sarkies and Nic McGowan: Instructions for Modern Living

Instructions for Modern Living aims to expose what goes on in the city when most people are safely snuggled under their duvets. Set in the wee small hours, the performance follows a cast of weird and wonderful characters on the edge of madness, including the presenter of a phone-in show that no one ever calls, a stubborn phantom and a nervous spaceman. Blending sounds, images and speech to unique effect, this captivatingly spooky work is the brainchild of New Zealand playwright Duncan Sarkies and composer Nic McGowan.
