Inspired by the singing triplets in the French animated feature Belleville Rendez-vous, Marcella Puppini formed a jazz-harmony trio with Stephanie O'Brien and Kate Mullins, her classmates at Trinity College of Music. The newly christened Puppini Sisters looked to the Andrews Sisters for the latter part of their name as well as for their debut single, a cover of "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." Tonight, the Puppinis bring their incessantly charming '40s-era jazz-cabaret style to Camden's KOKO.
