The Savoy Hotel may have had an artist or writer in residence for too many years to count, but Liverpool Street's Andaz is the only hotel with a reader in residence. Journalist Damian Barr (who claims to have invented the idea to get out of writing) is on hand to read bedtime stories to hotel guests in their own rooms, or to provide a meal accompaniment (from material selected off of a Book Menu). Barr also offers bibliotherapy, dishing recommendations for new fiction based on your current reading tastes.
