Flames, fans, hoops and tassles are all on display at the 2008 London Burlesque Festival. Now in its second year, the festival sets grand showcases in intimate settings across the capital. Thursday is the best night to take a peek, with three performances including Beyond the Cabaret at the West End's Tiger Tiger, Burlesque in the Boudoir at Stoke Newington's Barden's Boudoir and Clapham or Bust at the Bread & Roses pub. Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush hosts Friday's newcomers contest and Saturday's Jetsetter's Ball, featuring performers from nine countries. It all closes out with the Topless Revue running into the early hours at the Soho Revue Bar.
