The bizarre weather may suggest the contrary, but spring has definitely sprung. To celebrate, Covent Garden Market is hosting this festival of all things green, gorgeous and growable. The centrepiece is a sculpture by celebrity florist Preston Bailey, whose previous commissions include an elephant for Joan Rivers and decorations for the ill-fated wedding of Liza Minnelli and David Gest. On sale are seeds, plants, flowers and food, while experts (including urban guru Matt James) teach the finer points of growing produce in the capital, from composting to container gardening. Budding apiarists can also hone their honey-making skills and eco-enthusiasts can pick up recycling tips.
