More Flavor: Spectacle Unknown Devices: The Laptop Orchestra

This evening, members of the London Sinfonietta join forces with students from the Royal College of Music and electronic artists from the London College of Communication to present Unknown Devices: The Laptop Orchestra. Accompanied by Pablo Fiasco's visuals, the performance follows the Sinfonietta's 7:30pm performance of Thomas Adès' In Seven Days: Piano Concerto with Moving Image, which features a chaotic marriage between innovative sound and architectural images. A screening of Eighteen — a film inspired by the minimalist music of American composer Steve Reich — neatly rounds off this late-night event with explorations of hitherto untouched landscapes.
