If you've ever attempted a flare or a headspin, you know breakdancing is no joke. And, while parkour and capoeira have stolen some of its thunder recently, the underground B-boy scene is still overflowing with young talent. Battle of the Year was first started in Germany in 1990 and has since grown to become the definitive competition for the world's B-boy crews, with more than 4,000 visitors set to attend October's grand final in Braunschweig. Tonight is the UK qualifier, with some 20 crews of eight powering up in a bid to secure their place at the autumn showdown.
