For its second annual exhibition, the Jerwood Charitable Foundation asked three well-respected artists and academics to choose 20 promising recent art-school graduates. Each of the selected contributors exhibits just one painting in the gallery — and later on a national tour — as well as receiving a £1,500 prize. Exhibitors include St. Martin's finalist Johan Andersson, whose oil-on-canvas portraits manage to be both beautiful and humorous; and fellow Swede Sally Kindberg, gaining a reputation for her colorful oddities.
