Camille's reworking of chanson française has brought her considerable acclaim on the continent, and following the recent release of her new album, Music Hole, her unconventional style — punk-inflected poet experimentalist — is set to garner similar praise here. Camille blends classic vocals with avant-garde, layered ones; pared-down accompaniment, electronic drones and hums meet her bilingual lyrics and alternating humour and melancholy. It all makes for a stunning live performance, to be enjoyed by frogs and rosbifs alike.
