Art Dorian Ker: Laddering Malevich's Tights

In his latest West End exhibition, Dorian Ker presents a witty artistic dialogue with 19th-century Russian modernist Kasimir Malevich. Ker's large silkscreen prints retain the square motif of Malevich's works, but also deconstruct that aesthetic notion with excessive and experimental uses of colour, decoupage and blind screenprinting. As much a celebration of entropic composition as a nod to strict geometric patterns, Ker's work brings the monochrome of modernism into the 21st century with vibrant shocks of abstraction.
