This group show explores the richness and diversity of artists' senses of place. Simon Dawe's dreamy landscapes draw from childhood idylls, whereas Julie Goldsmith's animal statuettes/fetish objects convey the exotic eeriness of the unknown. Also of note are Felicity Warbrick's playful soap sculptures of houses and paintings of regal interiors, while stonework from Paul Vanstone (figural) and Rachel Schwalm (abstract) rounds out the exhibition. All the participating artists are united by their residency at west London's Great Western Studios, which may well be nearing its final days due to planned Cross Rail work — highlighting the more pragmatic importance of place for the city's artists.
