Art: Photography Pure Gold?

A photography exhibition organised in collaboration with aid agency CAFOD, Pure Gold? explores the social and environmental impact of gold mining on the impoverished societies of the developing world. The mining industry may be worth billions, but the costs are deforestation, displaced communities and contaminated drinking water — all things to make you think twice before piling on the bling.
