More Flavor: Discussion The Counterculture in Print
The British Library dedicates tonight's discussion to the rise and height of the underground press in the '60s. London, along with Paris, Berlin and San Francisco, was at the heart of this blooming of alternative print, producing iconic publications such as Time Out, Oz, International Times and Black Dwarf. Time Out founder Tony Elliott helms a panel of leading lights in sharing the stories of the roles they played in the proliferation of zines, manifestos, magazines and polemical newspapers that collectively helped spread the era's spirit of rebellion and protest.
