Photographer Wolfgang Tillmans returns to Maureen Paley for his sixth show. After Tillmans won the Turner Prize in 2000, the artist's profile skyrocketed and his large inkjet and C-prints of the flotsam of 21st-century living began to receive more attention. His images can appear unassuming at first glance, but closer looks reveal careful composition and exceptional use of light. Tillmans moves effortlessly across genres, from landscape to portraiture to still life. On the gallery's first floor is a screening of rarely seen video works, including footage of a snail crawling over the artist's hand and street musicians in Berlin.
