The jewel-like Camden People's Theatre, loomed over by the Euston Tower block, is the spiritual home of London's experimental-theatre and performance-art scenes. Starting today, the Camden hosts the 11th Sprint Festival and gives the stage to 17 artists and theatre companies over 33 days. If you fancy seeing weather captured in a jar, a dramatisation of red and grey squirrels fighting for survival or a piece set in the cosy confines of an actor's car during a road trip, you won't be disappointed. The performances are global in scope and origin, featuring Japanese puppetry, a French woman discoursing on what the British ought to know and a Chinese performer yearning to be understood.
