As part of the 1968-2008 festivities, LSE Students' Union get together with the major players of the radical '60s to present a day of debate and discussion. Renowned historian Tariq Ali is joined by fellow revolutionary Pierre Rousset and Chris Harman, LSE alumnus and author of The Fire Last Time: 1968 and After. Looking back to the protests that sparked across the globe — from antiwar marches in the US to student sit-ins in France — the panel ask if such demonstrations could arise again in our lifetimes. Other talks led by current LSE student activists prove that the spirit of revolution is far from dormant, while screenings of short films from 1968 round things out.
