More Flavor: Party Throwback! feat. Sal P w/ Joakim and Panico

The concept behind Throwback! is to bring together the "pioneers" and "inheritors" of a selected music genre for an exclusive performance. Tonight's pioneer is Sal P (aka Salvatore Principato) from legendary no-wave New York band Liquid Liquid; he makes an ultra-rare appearance onstage before DJing a mix of obscure krautrock and disco gems. The inheritors are Chilean five-piece Panico, who flaunt a new-wave sound with a splash of Latin post-punk. However, the night isn't solely given to conceptual performances — Joakim and the 20jazzfunkgreats DJs throw down more dance tracks and keep the floor moving well into the wee hours.
