Cargo's new NyLO night is sure to perk up Londoners weary of the déjà vu of our electronic-music scene, which sometimes seems to slog the same platter-spinners day in, day out. Seeking fresh sounds, NyLO looks across the pond to New York City for inspiration, and its debut party presents Brooklyn-based vocalist Tiombe Lockhart (of Platinum Pied Pipers fame), who does the honours alongside Tawiah's live band. Recent Warp Records signee Hudson Mohawke represents the UK with mind-bending hip-hop, while Attica Blues producer Nwachukwu and NYC Squeeze Radio DJ Sucio Smash complete the line-up.
