The endearingly eccentric Ween bring their pop-tinged mutant rock to Shepherds Bush Empire for an ambitious three-hour set — an enticing proposition, given the band's hefty back catalogue and stellar live reputation. For nigh on two decades, they've been drawing from folk, soul, country and prog rock to create a sound that's equal parts loving tribute and spot-on parody. Spouting irreverent lyrics about everything from meningitis to underwater kingdoms, Gene and Dean Ween mix humour and musical noodlings to fine effect, leaving ribs tickled and toes thoroughly wiggled.
