Spanish artists Carlos Calvet and Josue Lozano use their art to externalise hidden thoughts in this two-person show. Calvet evokes labyrinths and other fantastical scenarios in his highly detailed ink drawings and sculptures. Lozano operates at the opposite extreme, eroding his initial creations — by flaking plaster, smashing concrete and ripping poster-board — in order to uncover his own hidden intentions. While one artist painstakingly illustrates his story and the other wantonly destroys his own, both invoke the contradictions of their internal lives.
