Film: Documentary International Dialogues: Architecture and Climate Change w/ Edward Burtynsky and David Buckland
-
- Manufactured Landscapes
Brought to you by RIBA, tonight's screening and discussion put climate change under the spotlight, via the mediums of photography and documentary film. In Manufactured Landscapes, director Jennifer Baichwal joins forces with Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky to journey through China, capturing the impact of the country's industrial revolution on the land. A discussion follows between Burtynsky and artist, designer and filmmaker David Buckland, who, in 2001, set up Cape Farewell — an expedition project that brings scientists and artists together to raise awareness about global warming.
