Iceland is to thank for much of the world's most strange and wonderful sounds. Hjaltalín bring the arctic ethereality typical of the island to the orchestral indie-folk realm normally inhabited by the likes of Arcade Fire. The Reykjavík ten-piece have a knack for weaving exotic twists into conventional song structures live, and they move from big band to chamber pop with aplomb.
